In short: Magic Words does not collect, store, or share any personal information. It has no ads and no accounts, and all learning content works without an internet connection.
Who we are
Magic Words is a language-learning app for children aged 3 to 9, published by Zsuzsanna Jánosi.
Information we collect
None. The app does not ask for names, email addresses, location, photos, contacts or any other personal information, and it does not use analytics, tracking, advertising identifiers or advertising SDKs.
Purchases
The Amazon Appstore version is a one-time paid download with no in-app purchases. It uses Amazon’s standard licence check only to confirm the app was bought from the Appstore.
The Google Play version is free with four topics and offers one optional purchase that unlocks everything. This purchase can only be reached behind the grown-ups check and is handled entirely by Google Play. The app only asks Google Play whether the purchase was made, so it can unlock the content. We never receive payment details or account information.
Information stored on the device
The app saves the child's stars, stickers, chosen language and whether the full version is unlocked on the device only, so progress is kept between sessions. This information never leaves the device and is deleted when the app is uninstalled. Stars and stickers can also be reset at any time in the app's grown-ups area.
Internet access and permissions
All words, pictures and sounds are included in the app. The learning content does not need an internet connection. The Google Play version uses the internet only to contact Google Play for the optional purchase.
Children's privacy
Because the app collects no personal information, it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR, including its rules for children. There are no ads, no links to external websites and no social features in the child area. The grown-ups area is protected by a simple parent check.
